Company leading the way in flexible working launch on Crowdcube

"There are so many workers across London who cannot afford usual co-working space prices, which are often upwards of 500 a month, and we feel that everyone deserves a place to thrive. "
Tori Donnelly, WorkClubs Head of Communications

WorkClub are the groundbreaking new co-working business on a mission to give modern professionals the power to work from anywhere. On the morning of Friday 13th September, the London-based startup launched their fundraising campaign on Crowdcube looking for investment to the tune of £250,000.

The company has already seen significant traction with nearly 70% raised of their crowdfunding target in a matter of hours.

There are currently an estimated 4.2 million remote workers in the UK and this number is only set to grow as more employers are taking note of the positive effect that flexible terms can have on their workforce.

The benefits of implementing flexible working arrangements are becoming increasingly harder to refute. Recent studies have shown that workplace flexibility is directly linked to lowered stress, reduced burnout, improved organisational skills and increased productivity.

This evidence has been well-received by Parliament, with a Flexible Working Bill successfully passing through to a second reading at Westminster. The Bill, if approved would make British employers offer flexible working as the default, rather than it being up to individuals to request the terms.

We are clearly experiencing a paradigm shift, but how can we cope with what will surely be a landslide of demand in a sustainable manner? Freelancers, coworkers and employees alike are all on the hunt for convenient, productive yet affordable workspaces. This is where WorkClub are leading the charge.

Across the UK, hundreds of commercial venues sit empty throughout large chunks of the day. Meanwhile, thousands of remote and flexible workers need a comfortable and professional place to work and meet. WorkClub transforms these under-utilised venues into thriving co-working spaces, boosting profits for venue managers, and providing amazing workspaces for remote workers.

“There are so many workers across London who cannot afford usual co-working space prices, which are often upwards of £500 a month.” said Tori Donnelly, WorkClub’s Head of Communications. “And we feel that everyone deserves a place to thrive.”

To join WorkClub it costs you nothing on their Club package. To access their private spaces, you will need to sign up to their Club X plan, which starts at just £25-a-month. Club X gives members access to a range of premium spaces across London as well as receiving food and drink discounts at each venue and exclusive perks from companies like Digital Risks, ZipCar and PureGym,

“We are revolutionising the way people work by offering one of the most affordable and flexible memberships on the market for remote workers.” stated Nick Donnelly, WorkClub CEO and Founder. “We are now raising funds to help us grow and expand into more spaces across London, the UK and globally.”
