emporix is set to launch its new Headless Commerce brand at Internet World Expo.
The company, with is formed from agile commerce specialist SAAS AG, is a new brand designed to support online businesses outside SAAS’s traditional roots of grocery commerce with Headless Commerce infrastructure. The team will be utilising their expertise to bring a flexible e-commerce approach to retailers across a range of sectors, empowering companies to take control of their digital strategy.
At the show, emporix and SAAS AG’sCEO and founder Eberhardt Weber will also deliver a keynote address on the success factors in online grocery retailing.
Weber will be reporting from both his decade of working with his own online supermarket Lieferladen.de and the experience of other customers of SAAS AG, Software as a Service.
With the landscape of retail changing at an ever increasing rate, Weber will argue that ‘retailers need to become flexible to capitalise on changing trends’ and that Headless Commerce technology allows both corporate and independent vendors to do this in an agile and flexible way.
The keynote address will also cover other retailing challenges facing the sector, including ‘how to escape price comparison battles’ and ‘why weight items are so important’ and ‘why technology plays an important role’.
Eberhardt Weber has been working actively in the e-commerce sector for over 20 years.
He served as the Managing Director at Hybris, which was later acquired by now SAP, in its formative phase. He was also involved in helping to build one of the first extranets at Hewlett-Packard.
